At the first meeting we will go over what is involved in making a successful claim. Feel free to prepare any questions you want to ask. We will answer all of your questions and then we will assess your claim and provide you with the best advice.

  • We will ask you to provide us with your name, address, phone numbers, and email address.


  • Think about writing or typing up a summary of the accident details and the injuries you sustained. We will ask you detailed questions in order to get a clear understanding of the accident and your injuries.
  • Bring all documents that may be relevant to your case such as:
    • Your claim number
    • Police report
    • Copy of your statement to ICBC (or other insurer)
    • Any authorizations you signed at ICBC (or other insurer)
    • Any photographs of the scene
    • Any letters you have received from ICBC (or other insurer)
    • Receipts for medical treatment


Prepare a list of questions that you would like to discuss with us. If you do not understand something we tell you, don’t be afraid to say so. We will be happy to explain in language you understand. You may want to ask us about:

  • Legal fees.
  • Do you have to pay any money up front?
  • What will we do?
  • What do you have to do?
  • What happens next?
  • Are there any time limits that affect my case?

Motor vehicle accident cases

If you were involved in a motor vehicle accident, we will ask you about:

  • The date and time of the accident.
  • Who was driving the car you were in.
  • Where the accident happened.
  • How the accident happened.
  • The weather conditions when the accident happened (e.g., sunny, raining, foggy, windy, snowy).
  • The road conditions at the time of the accident (e.g., dry, wet, icy, rough, under construction, muddy, potholes).
  • The kind of road you were driving on (e.g., gravel, 2-lane, divided highway).
  • The traffic controls at the scene of the accident (e.g., stop signs, signals, yield signs).
  • The damage to your car / motorbike / bicycle.
  • Your injuries.

    • driver’s contact information (name, address, telephone number)
  • Witnesses and Passengers:
