One of our lawyers, David Goldberg was pleased to be recently featured on legal cloud software provider Clio’s customer stories.

Clio is a cloud based legal software program which is widely used worldwide by law firms of all sizes for a multitude of purposes, including:

Clio, established in 2007, was the first legal software to offer cloud-based services and continues to make improvements and advances as it grows.  While it’s reach is now international, being one of the  like Taylor & Blair LLP, Clio had its start in the lower mainland,  and has its headquarters in Burnaby BC, not far from the Taylor & Blair LLP Burnaby offices.  Over the years Clio has grown from a local company to one of the leading legal software firms in the world.  Not only does Clio have one of the leading legal software programs available, their legal/legal tech conference ClioCon, has grown to be one of the largest legal conferences in the world with a focus on legal trends, legal firm management, firm accounting, legal technology, as well as other areas of the legal/tech world.  Many of the programs have been recognized by local law societies as valid forms of continuing legal education credits.

Taylor & Blair LLP has been providing legal services throughout the lower mainland of British Columbia for over 30 years and were one of the first British Columbian law firms to have a website and advertise on the internet.  Over the years Taylor & Blair LLP has used numerous legal and accounting software programs.  As laid out in the featured article Taylor Works with us and our different practice areas.  Our practice is composed of Personal Injury and Insurance Denial claims, which are generally contingency fee based, and Employment and Elder law claims, which can be either by billable hour or contingency depending on the facts of the particular case.  There is also a significant difference in the documentation required to successfully litigate cases in the different areas of our practice.  Clio has so far been a versatile system which has further enhanced the ability of the lawyers at Taylor & Blair LLP to provide timely and effective service to our clients, whether in the office, at Court or elsewhere (thanks to their cloud based system) regardless of their legal issue.
